I am starting of my blog with my favorite mom item; my Fawn Design Diaper Bag! Having been a mom for 3 years now, I have struggled with the diaper bag search. Like any new mom I thought I found “the” bag before my son was born, only to realize months later it wasn’t for me. I tried out many bags like the PPB Boxy BackPack, a Forever 21 tote, the Kipling Audra, the Kipling Challenger, a LongChamp, a Skip Hop Chelsea Bag and lots of large purses.
For 34 months I was carrying around 2 bags. See, I HAD to carry my own handbag. I didn’t want to give up my style and I wanted to maintain a diaper bag that was functional, easy to carry and neutral. With my first, it wasn’t too hard but once my daughter was born, I had double the stuff to carry around.
My Search For A Diaper Bag
In September 2016, I decided enough was enough and I needed to invest in 1 BAG that would serve both purposes. So I purchased my first Fawn Design Diaper Bag, after stalking their website all year. I bought the Black Old Generation Fawn Design Diaper Bag from a Local SoCal Mama, and instantly I fell in love and have not stopped carrying this one bag ever since.
What I love About my Fawn Design Diaper Bag
I loved the material (fully wipeable faux leather), the design and the gold zippers. At first sight, I thought there’s no way I can fit everything in there but once I actually packed the bag using organizers, I had enough space for everything and MORE! That’s when the addiction kicked in, and I treated myself to a second one from the new batch release.
One thing you need to know about Fawn Design Diaper Bag is they SELL OUT FAST! They almost always sell out after a re-stock. They carry the bag in Black, Grey and Brown all year around and in the winter/spring they have other colors like Plum, Green, Pink and Navy.
Fawn Design Diaper Bag Functionality
On the outside, the bag has 4 pockets on the outside; 2 of which are bottle pockets and 2 on the front, one with a gorgeous gold zipper and a gold embellished logo. The older batches had a tag with their logo (as you will notice in my pictures of the black bag).
The bag opens up in a semicircle and gives you a clear open view of everything inside (of course dependant on how you pack it). This is one of my favorite things about it. There’s no rummaging & pulling the flaps apart to get the best view of things inside. On the inside, there are 5 pockets with a small hook to hold on to key chains (this was part of their latest release).
The bag functions as a backpack and a messenger bag so you can switch between both which is one of my favorite things. The backpack straps can get uncomfortable “sometimes” as they brush against your thigh when carrying it as a tote. The old straps are not 100% comfortable if you pack your bag too heavy. This wasn’t a deal breaker for me.
Update: The Bag now has new straps please check this post for more pictures of their bag updates (fawn-design-diaper-bag-review)
I highly recommend Fawn Design Diaper Bags if you have been considering it and if you haven’t please do check them out. This is a bag I can see myself continuing to carry even when my kids grow (Update: I have been using this bag now for 2 years) The owner’s story is really inspiring and she actually started this business sewing the bags by herself!
I do see a difference in the Faux Leather from the first Generation bags to the new ones, but the design/ structure of the bag has remained the same if not gotten better. They have excellent customer service and have taken care of me when I had some minor issues with a bag.
To purchase your own Fawn Design Diaper bags check out their website. I’m a loyal follower of Fawn Design on Instagram too! They do a lot of giveaways.

It is super popular, and honestly, I don’t think I can justify getting any other bag again! If I get any other it will be another Fawn!

I think diaper bags are so ugly lol so I have always opted for a really big bag. This one is super cute! Love the leather exterior!

I thought that I had found “the one” diaper bag also, and I was SO excited. But SO bummed when only a few months in the color on the faux leather was worn away. So I guess just be warned that that will happen. Maybe it doesn’t bother some, but it sure disappointed me with how much I spent on it!

Really? I am in the Fawn BST and VIP group and I have never heard that and I have had bags for almost a year now. What color did you have? Was it in the sun alot? Did you contact Fawn Design immediately? They have excellent CS and always replace bags if it’s not something that was intentionally damaged.
